Tax Examiners provide administrative support at the IRS tax return processing service center. Tax experience is not required for these positions as the IRS provides comprehensive on-the-job and classroom training.

Duties for this position include:

Researching a variety of sources, obtaining applicable returns, schedules, and all required information for correction of accounts and records. Verifying, analyzing, and adjusting taxpayer accounts. Reviewing returns submitted by taxpayers for the Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit, American Opportunity Credit and other credits. Pay:

$17.82 - $25.37 per hour
