full-time Position Overview Our client is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing professional services team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including privately held businesses, investment entities, and high-net-worth individuals. The Tax Manager will lead tax engagements, provide technical guidance, and play a key role in client service and project execution. Responsibilities Manage the preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and individuals. Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on planning opportunities and compliance matters. Review financial information to identify tax implications, risks, and savings opportunities. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide ongoing tax guidance and support. Assist with tax projections, estimates, and strategic planning initiatives. Mentor and develop junior staff members through training, review, and coaching. Prepare and review technical memoranda, correspondence, and other client deliverables. Help improve internal processes, workflows, and efficiencies. Stay current on changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements. Qualifications CPA required. 5+ years of public accounting tax experience. Experience reviewing complex business and individual tax returns. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a client-service environment. Strong communication and client relationship management skills. Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred. Preferred Background Public accounting experience serving closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Exposure to multi-state taxation and complex entity structures. Prior experience supervising, reviewing, or mentoring staff. Experience participating in tax planning and consulting engagements.
