Job Description
Review and prepare individual, business, and trust/estate tax returns Manage tax planning strategies for clients Oversee daily office operations, scheduling, and workflow Supervise and mentor tax preparers/support staff Serve as primary client contact for complex tax matters Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Manage client relationships and business development support Handle IRS/state correspondence and audit representation Oversee billing, invoicing, and office administrative tasks Maintain quality control standards for all tax work product Qualifications CPA or EA preferred 5+ years of tax preparation/review experience 2+ years in a supervisory or management role Proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake) Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines, especially during tax season Preferred Experience in a small firm environment Familiarity with QuickBooks and general office software Prior staff supervision experience
