•$250,000 per year Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Advisory Manager to lead sophisticated tax planning and advisory initiatives for complex individual and business clients. This is a strategic tax advisory position for a professional with deep technical knowledge who can go beyond traditional compliance and develop sophisticated, legally compliant tax strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong tax research capabilities, commercial judgment, and experience advising clients on complex tax matters. Responsibilities Develop and refine high-level tax planning strategies for complex client profiles. Research and apply advanced tax positions involving income, investments, businesses, and alternative assets. Advise on working-interest structures, fund investments, and alternative investment tax treatment. Analyze complex tax issues and identify proactive tax-planning opportunities. Provide technical guidance and deal-specific tax support to client-facing advisors. Collaborate with leadership on the development of tax advisory services and strategic initiatives. Research complex provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, IRS guidance, and related tax authorities. Develop practical tax strategies aligned with clients' financial and business objectives. Contribute to tax-related educational content, presentations, and thought leadership. Stay current with changes in federal tax legislation, regulations, and IRS guidance. Work independently while collaborating with other tax professionals and leadership. Required Qualifications CPA, EA, JD, or LLM (Tax) required. 8+ years of experience in tax planning, tax advisory, or strategic tax consulting. Deep knowledge of federal taxation and advanced tax-planning concepts. Strong experience in tax advisory beyond traditional compliance. Ability to research and interpret complex areas of the Internal Revenue Code. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Ability to independently develop and evaluate sophisticated tax strategies. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into practical solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Regulation D investments . Experience with oil & gas (O&G) investments and structures . Experience with alternative investments and sophisticated tax strategies. Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners, investors, or closely held businesses. Experience developing tax-related products, services, educational content, or thought leadership.
