$25-$35 per hour, based on experience Approximately 20-24 hours per week Monday-Thursday | Flexible Daytime Schedule No Fridays | Year-Round Position Integrity Tax Group, LLC is seeking a seasoned, experienced Tax Return Preparer to join our team on a part-time, year-round basis. We are not looking for an entry-level preparer or someone with only one or two tax seasons of experience. We are looking for a tax professional who has strong tax knowledge, is comfortable working independently, and can recognize when something on a return simply doesn't make sense. About Integrity Tax Group Integrity Tax Group specializes in helping individuals and businesses resolve federal and state tax problems. A significant part of our practice involves helping taxpayers who have not filed tax returns for several years become current and compliant. Because of this, our tax preparation work can be very different from that of a traditional tax preparation office. Sometimes we have all of the client's original tax documents. Other times, we may need to reconstruct a return using IRS Wage & Income Transcripts, prior-year tax returns, client interviews, and supporting documentation. For that reason, experience reading and interpreting IRS Wage & Income Transcripts is strongly preferred. What You'll Be Doing Depending upon your experience, responsibilities may include: Preparing federal and state individual income tax returns Preparing multiple years of delinquent or prior-year returns Reviewing and interpreting IRS Wage & Income Transcripts Identifying W-2s, 1099s, 1099-Rs, K-1s and other income reported to the IRS Preparing Schedule C and Schedule E returns Working with self-employed taxpayers and small-business owners Reviewing prior-year returns and depreciation schedules Identifying missing information, inconsistencies and potential tax issues Communicating what additional information is needed to complete a return Resolving Drake diagnostics and return-preparation issues Preparing business returns, including Forms 1120-S and 1065, if qualified Potentially performing first-level review of returns prepared by other tax preparers, depending upon experience What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Several years of hands-on tax return preparation experience Strong proficiency with Drake Tax Software Strong knowledge of Form 1040 and related schedules Experience preparing Schedule C and Schedule E Experience preparing prior-year and delinquent tax returns The ability to work independently through more complicated tax situations Strong attention to detail and tax due diligence The ability to identify problems rather than simply enter information into tax software Experience reviewing IRS Wage & Income Transcripts is strongly preferred. Experience preparing Forms 1120-S and 1065 is a significant plus. EA, CPA, or AFSP credentials are welcome but are not required for a candidate with substantial hands-on tax preparation experience. This Is Not a Data-Entry Position We are specifically looking for someone who understands tax returns, not simply someone who knows how to enter tax documents into software. Our ideal preparer can review a client's information, recognize when something is missing or inconsistent, research the issue when appropriate, and determine what additional information is needed before a return is ready for final review.
Schedule & Compensation Part-Time:

Compensation:
