Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented bilingual English-Spanish speaker and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, with experience in various accounting software. This role requires a thorough understanding of financial concepts, tax regulations, and the ability to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses. The Tax Preparer will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws while providing exceptional service to our clients. Duties Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and non-profit organizations. Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, and other financial software for data entry and report generation. Perform account reconciliations including bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or issues related to tax filings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and changes in tax laws. Assist clients with budgeting and financial planning strategies. Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Handle journal entries, debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tax-related projects. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting is preferred. Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is essential. Proficiency in using various accounting software tools for bookkeeping and financial reporting. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively. Experience with payroll processing is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
