ABOUT THE JOB

Position Accountant & Tax Preparer Job Brief Accounting compilation through Financial Reports; computing taxes; completing tax returns (Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, etc.) Handling in house accounting & other administrative tasks related to client accounts. Responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns
• Remit tax payments
• Comply with federal, state, and local tax requirements
• Maintain knowledge of tax requirements
• Prepare quarterly payroll returns
• Reconcile tax discrepancies
• Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping client's tax and personal information confidential.
• Handle client billing and invoicing
• Process finalized tax returns for client delivery
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Skills and Requirements
• Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or Tax Preparer

A/R & A/P

experience would be beneficial

• Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with accounting software packages (Accounting CS, QuickBooks, and Ultra Tax)
• Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular)
• Excellent analytical and time management skills
• Strong numeracy skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Understands legal compliance of firm
• Actively practices due diligence and is objective when necessary

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
