Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our growing team! In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting clients with tax preparation, compliance, and planning. Your expertise in accounting principles, tax law, and financial software will drive accurate and timely tax reporting. Duties Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns using advanced tax preparation software. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by staying current on relevant regulations. Analyze financial documents and accounting records to accurately report income, deductions, and credits. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain tax strategies or issues. Assist with tax planning and consulting to optimize clients' financial positions. Support the team in maintaining organized records of all tax documents, reports, and correspondence. Contribute to client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and building strong relationships. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role with a focus on tax preparation and compliance. Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or other financial management tools. Demonstrated expertise in partnership tax, corporate tax, and individual tax reporting. Familiarity with tax law updates, tax reporting requirements, and relevant regulations. Excellent analysis skills combined with proficiency in math and technical accounting concepts. Prior experience with client communication, customer service, and client retention strategies. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail; 10 key typing skills are preferred.
