Duties include but are not limited to: the preparation and filing of mostly Individual tax returns. Preparation and filing of partnership and corporate returns as the individual's skill level and ongoing training allows. Prior Sales tax, Payroll filings, Nonprofit, Trust & Estate experience is a huge plus.

The ideal candidate:

Must have credible & quantifiable experience preparing & filing a high volume of Individual tax returns ; must be familiar with OR willing to learn, tax software programs (Drake - a plus) and have prior knowledge of various computer programs (quickbooks & excel a plus); MUST possess excellent time management and analytical skills; is detail oriented and strives for accuracy in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. The ideal candidate also consistently delivers high-quality work that exceeds internal and external customer expectations; has strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client management; must be able to work independently, in a small friendly team environment; must be willing to learn new skills, stay abreast of tax law changes and readily adapt to industry changes. Willing to train the right candidate who already has experience with filing individual returns, and exposure to most of the other tax preparations & filings. Individual must be enthusiastic and patient to learn the rest of the skills necessary to fulfill all of the position's duties. Additional skills to possess OR learn, is the ability to recommend tax strategies that comply with ever-changing tax laws with the goal of suggesting ways to minimize tax burdens while maximizing profit to clients.

Note:

Prior experience preparing and filing a high volume of Individual tax returns is a must. A higher level of tax accounting knowledge is a huge plus. CPA or Enrolled Agent is a plus but not required.
