Full Job Description Summary:
To ensure that members receive friendly, accurate, and timely service while managing the daily processes on the teller line.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments; sells money orders and gift cards to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. Trains, directs, and evaluates employee performance within the department; recommends promotions, transfers, and salary adjustments; identifies performance problems and takes action to correct, including termination. Schedules and monitors daily teller activities. Monitors department activities for compliance with established policy and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out of compliance issues. Orders daily cash requirement for the credit union. Manages vault cash. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
To insure that the department is providing friendly, professional, personal service to all members. To insure that on average, tellers balance at least 98% of the time, being no more than $25 off, with total outages not to exceed $500 in a 12-month period To maintain a highly qualified staff, sufficient to meet the daily demands of the credit union's members. To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance. To successfully recommend a new product or service to 10% of all members you work with.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience | One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education | A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills | Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication Other Skills | Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent math skills. Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity. Thorough understanding of member service.
