As members of the front-line customer service team, Tellers must be able to build relationships with customers through active listening and by offering solutions to their needs with appropriate bank products or referrals to other bank personnel.
Primary Duties:
Debits and credits to customer accounts via computer and examines for endorsements, receiving proper identification. Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories, and refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line. Identify counterfeit currency. Accepts loan payments, verifies payment amount, accounts to apply to, & issues receipts as needed. Admits customers to safe deposit box vault and assists with entry to their box(es).
Maintain appropriate logs:
cashier's checks, cash, money orders, CTR's and, etc. Cross-sell bank products and services. Complete all training required by management and comply with all bank policies and procedures. Comply with BSA/AML training and report any suspicious activity to the BSA officer. Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations. High school diploma or equivalent required unless enrolled in high school. Reliable transportation required. Desire to learn new technologies as well as influence, educate, and connect customers to technology. Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and accuracy required. Must demonstrate ability to make personal connections, engage customers, and remain courteous and professional in a team environment. High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality required.
Experience:
Customer service: Minimum 1 year Required (e.g. Retail, Sales, Financial Services) Cash handling: Previous experience
Preferred Banking:
Previous experience Preferred Minimum 1 year office setting experience Preferred.
