Full Job Description Essential Job Functions:
1.
P&L Oversight:
  • Owns the division's financial performance, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and targets.
  • Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, and profitability metrics, to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue generation, minimize costs, and enhance profitability.

Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term strategic plans and objectives for the division to align with the organization's overall mission and goals.
  • Evaluate city relationships/governmental affairs leadership, market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Drive the development and execution of strategic initiatives to capitalize on identified opportunities and address potential challenges.
3.
Operational Leadership:
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to divisional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, maintain compliance, streamline processes and safety, and drive operational excellence. 4. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the division, working closely with finance teams to develop realistic financial forecasts and targets.
  • Monitor and track financial performance against budget and forecast, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of various factors on financial outcomes and inform decision-making.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, cities, business partners, and regulators.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for divisional matters, effectively communicating performance updates, strategic initiatives, and key decisions.

Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Identify and assess potential risks to the division's financial health and operational continuity, implementing risk mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies, maintaining a strong culture of ethics and integrity within the division.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles, with a focus on P&L management and financial performance optimization.
  • Strong financial acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling expertise.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Effective leadership and team-building capabilities, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and driving results under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience in the waste-recycling or transportation industries is preferred.
