full-time Financial Controller | Metro Detroit A growing international manufacturing organization is seeking a Financial Controller to join its North American leadership team during an exciting period of growth, integration, and transformation. Reporting directly to North American leadership and the Global CFO, this is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for leading the accounting function, strengthening financial controls, and building scalable processes as the organization continues to expand. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while partnering closely with executive leadership to help shape the future of the finance organization. Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Oversee payroll, benefits administration, accounts payable, banking relationships, and cash management Prepare and file sales tax, activity tax, and other regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions Support quarterly tax estimates and coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies Strengthen internal controls and implement scalable accounting processes Partner with leadership on financial planning, operational decisions, and business initiatives Help support the continued integration and growth of the North American business Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Experience with capital equipment manufacturing strongly preferred SAP experience required Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and general accounting principles Hands-on leadership style with exceptional communication and organizational skills Why Join?
