Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller. The Controller will oversee our financial operations, ensure the integrity of our financial reporting, and is inspected to create paper documents for the managing partner to review and sign off prior to releasing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with expertise in managing budgets, account reconciliations, and compliance with financial regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and providing strategic insights to support our organization's growth. Responsibilities Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards Conduct balance sheet reconciliation processes to maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and equity Create weekly job reports for the Managing Partner and job supervisors Prepare and track weekly affidavits to be signed by vendors after they receive payments Interface with banks on behalf of customers who have construction loans Conduct account reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity across financial systems Conduct payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation Keep track of sick days and vacation days Keep track of change orders and discuss with job supervisors. Oversee the filing systems for Accounting and Human resources Submit annually the reports to the State of New Hampshire and place a paper copy in files Prepare Weekly Payrolls and Quarterly/Annual Payroll Tax Returns Perform other needed tasks for the benefit of the company Requirements Proven experience as a Comptroller or in a similar financial management role - 4+ years Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial forecasting techniques Experience with account reconciliation procedures and general ledger management Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accurate financial reporting Strong organizational skills and task management with tight deadlines Proficiency in using accounting software & knowledge of data entry Proficiency in using Excel Spreadsheets, Word documents, and Adobe Experience preparing Payrolls and Tax Returns Nice to Have Degree in Accounting Experience as a construction controller Sage/Timberline accounting software systems experience About Us We are a custom home building company specializing in high end homes and multi-use construction in the Lakes Region. Pay:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
