Job Description:

An established owner-operator of commercial real estate is hiring a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting across its portfolio. Reporting to the CFO, you'll take ownership of the books, the close process, and the accounting team. What you'll own: All accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, cash, payroll oversight, fixed assets Multi-entity and partnership financial statements Retail lease accounting (base rent, percentage rent, CAM, recoveries, tenant reconciliations) Annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections Banking relationships, debt compliance, lender reporting Audit coordination, tax schedule prep, and internal controls Accounting systems oversight (MRI Software or similar) A small accounting team What you bring: Bachelor's in accounting or finance; CPA preferred, not required 10+ years progressive accounting experience, 5+ in a senior management role Commercial real estate accounting experience strongly preferred Strong GAAP and partnership accounting knowledge Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills MRI Software experience a plus Hoxton Circle is an equal opportunity employer.
