Full-Time, Direct Hire About the Opportunity A growing, multi-entity healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to take ownership of its accounting function and play a key role in building the financial infrastructure for continued growth. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to have a meaningful impact across multiple physician practice management entities and ambulatory surgery centers. The organization is expanding into additional healthcare service lines, making this an exciting time to join the team. This is not a high-level oversight-only position. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, comfortable getting into the numbers, and enjoys building and improving processes within a complex environment. What Youll Do Lead the monthly and annual close across multiple entities, including consolidations and intercompany eliminations Own the annual financial statement audit, including planning, audit schedules, and serving as the primary contact for the external audit firm Partner with the billing team on patient revenue recognition, contractual adjustments, A/R reserves, and cash reconciliation Oversee account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and balance sheet activity Develop, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies Coordinate with outside tax advisors on entity-level filings Improve accounting processes and systems, including NetSuite and Coupa Build accounting processes for new ambulatory surgery centers, service lines, and acquisitions Support continued growth and increasing complexity across the organization Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting and finance team What Were Looking For CPA required 8+ years of progressive accounting experience 3+ years of public accounting audit experience required Big 4 or national/regional public accounting experience strongly preferred ASC and/or physician practice management experience preferred Experience with patient revenue, contractual adjustments, and A/R reserves Strong multi-entity consolidation experience Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls NetSuite experience strongly preferred Coupa experience is a plus Advanced Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively within a lean team Why Consider This Role? $175,000-$200,000 base salary 10% target annual bonus Hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite Direct visibility with the CFO and senior leadership Opportunity to own accounting across a complex, multi-entity healthcare organization Exposure to new service lines, ASCs, and acquisitions Opportunity to build and improve accounting infrastructure rather than simply maintain existing processes Join a lean team where your technical expertise and leadership will have a direct impact If youre a CPA with a strong audit foundation and healthcare accounting experience, this is an opportunity to step into a highly visible Controller role with significant ownership and room to make an impact.
