Approximately 3-6+ months Our client is seeking an experienced finance and accounting leader to support a financial services organization through a critical operational oversight engagement. This role is ideal for a seasoned Controller, Finance Director, or operational finance professional who can provide leadership, sound judgment, and hands-on oversight of business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with management to strengthen processes, review financial activities, and help ensure appropriate controls and decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities Provide finance and operational oversight to existing teams Review invoices, expenditures, and approvals for appropriateness Monitor and improve internal controls and business processes Partner with management on operational and financial decision-making Identify risks and recommend process improvements Support accounting and finance functions through leadership and guidance Assist in establishing best practices and operational discipline Qualifications 10+ years of accounting, finance, or operational leadership experience Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, Finance Director, or similar leadership role Strong accounting foundation with excellent business judgment Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at multiple levels Experience evaluating financial and operational processes Financial services, lending, banking, or consumer finance experience preferred Additional Information Engagement expected to begin as soon as possible Onsite presence is anticipated and may represent a significant portion of the engagement Travel expenses may be reimbursed depending on candidate location and engagement structure
