full-time A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to support the accounting function while driving several important process improvement and project initiatives across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Controller with manufacturing industry experience and strong JD Edwards expertise who enjoys improving processes, automating manual work, and partnering with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Support multiple accounting and finance-related project initiatives Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual accounting processes Lead or support initiatives related to Accounts Payable process improvements and optimization Oversee and improve fixed asset accounting, tracking, and reporting Evaluate existing processes and implement more efficient workflows and controls Partner with operations, finance, and other cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting activities Support month-end close, reconciliations, and other core accounting functions as needed Provide guidance and leadership to the accounting team throughout the engagement Required Qualifications Prior Controller or senior-level accounting leadership experience Manufacturing industry experience - required JD Edwards (JDE) experience - required Strong understanding of general accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience with fixed assets and Accounts Payable processes Demonstrated experience improving or automating accounting processes Strong project management and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fully onsite manufacturing environment Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with the ability to quickly assess processes and implement improvements Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on Interim Controller who can step into an organization, quickly understand the existing accounting environment, and drive meaningful improvements. Experience with process automation, AP optimization, fixed assets, and other accounting transformation initiatives is highly valued.
