Full-Time About the Opportunity The HT Group has partnered with a growing manufacturing company just West of Spicewood, TX in the search for an experienced Controller to lead all accounting and finance operations. This is a highly visible leadership role that partners directly with executive leadership to provide financial guidance, improve profitability, strengthen internal controls, and support continued business growth. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience who enjoys partnering with operations to drive financial and operational performance. Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Cash Management. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Coordinate annual audits and oversee all external audit activities. Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections. Oversee cost accounting, including standard costing, job costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Analyze labor, material, overhead, and production costs to identify opportunities for improved profitability. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements. Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Lead inventory accounting, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes. Partner with operations, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain leadership to improve business performance. Develop KPIs, financial dashboards, and management reporting. Evaluate and support future ERP enhancements and process improvements. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience 5+ years of leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar leadership role Strong manufacturing accounting and cost accounting experience Experience within the oil & gas sector highly preferred Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience managing month-end close, audits, and tax compliance Strong Excel skills Demonstrated success improving accounting processes and internal controls Ability to work on-site Preferred CPA designation Experience supporting private equity-backed, founder-led, or high-growth organizations ERP implementation, migration, or system upgrade experience Experience with inventory-intensive manufacturing operations Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and operational performance metrics Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $140,000-$175,000+ (depending on experience) Annual performance bonus Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off and company holidays Professional development opportunities
