2051 Marengo Street , Los Angeles, CA, 90033 Job Summary The Anesthesia Technician provides technical and clinical support to the anesthesia team in the operating room and other procedural areas. The role involves preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies, assisting anesthesia providers during procedures, and ensuring equipment and supplies are readily available for safe patient care. Requirements Minimum 1+ year of recent experience as an Anesthesia Technician High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an Anesthesia Technician/Technologist program preferred Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, airway devices, and basic medical terminology Experience in an operating room, surgical, or hospital setting preferred Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to follow infection-control and patient-safety procedures Ability to work collaboratively with anesthesiologists, nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms and anesthesia workstations before surgical procedures. Check anesthesia machines, ventilators, breathing circuits, oxygen and gas supplies, and related equipment. Prepare and organize airway management equipment, including laryngoscopes, endotracheal tubes, masks, and suction equipment. Assist anesthesiologists and anesthesia providers during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia as directed. Provide and restock anesthesia medications, supplies, and equipment according to hospital policies. Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and properly store reusable anesthesia equipment. Perform routine equipment checks and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns. Maintain adequate inventory of anesthesia supplies and monitor expiration dates. Assist with emergency procedures by ensuring emergency airway and anesthesia equipment is readily available. Support operating-room turnover by cleaning and preparing anesthesia equipment between cases. Follow infection-control, patient-safety, occupational-health, and hospital policies. Maintain accurate records of equipment, supplies, and required checks. Communicate effectively with the anesthesia and surgical teams. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, move, and transport medical equipment and supplies. Ability to work in operating rooms and other clinical environments. Ability to respond calmly and appropriately during urgent or emergency situations.

$30.50 - $31.00 per hour
