Associate Therapist port Healthcare United States, Connecticut, Seymour Sep 01, 2026

What You'll Do The Associate Therapist facilitates individual and group sessions with clients, mentors direct care staff, and works collaboratively within treatment teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Facilitating individual therapy sessions within the framework of port Healthcare's clinical model

Facilitating clinical and experiential group therapy sessions to support healing and connection

Participating in screenings, intakes, orientations, assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning

Attending trainings and clinical supervision sessions to enhance your skills and broaden your knowledge

Serving as a vital part of your clients' multidisciplinary treatment teams

Supporting the team with crisis prevention, intervention, and management as needed What Makes You a Great Fit Master's degree in a clinical discipline (required)

Board registered to accrue hours towards licensure in the state where services are provided (required)

Experience facilitating therapy with children, teens, and/or young adults (preferred)

A patient-first mindset that inspires you to reach the highest standards in delivery of care

Cultural competency and a clinical style that aligns with port Healthcare's therapeutic approach

The capacity to listen attentively and actively, with patience and empathy, and to communicate clearly and effectively

The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure or when facing change, delays, or unexpected events
