Artisan's Workshop Description:
Art for All is dedicated to bringing people with developmental differences into the life of themunity in ways that allow them to develop skills, form relationships and make meaningful contributions. The Artisans' Workshop Teacher will lead the participants to learn art making skills while contributing to themunity art projects of Art for All. The workshop is run by the staff and volunteers of Art for All's Art for All Abilities program and it will run once a week on Wednesdays starting in September.
Weekly:
1.5 hour workshop + 1.5 hour prep/clean up
Monthly:
3 hours outreach/admin
Qualifications:
Experience volunteering or working with people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Experience in art and crafts Background in education, social services, psychology or occupational therapy. Interest in supporting individuals with developmental differences in an inclusive, respectful environment. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work collaboratively with participants, staff, and volunteers. Willingness to encourage creativity and skill development. Dependable, punctual, and able tomit to weekly Wednesday workshops. Ability to follow instructions and assist with workshop activities. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to participants' individual needs.
