Full Job Description HOURS:
Sunday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Primary Therapist must be capable of performing independent work in the primary care and treatment of individuals diagnosed with substance use and/or co-occurring disorder(s). The therapist is primarily responsible for the completion of an initial assessment with a biopsychosocial instrument, an interpretive summary, and documentation and execution of a collaborated treatment plan; individual, group, and family counseling. The Primary Therapist will be responsible for providing quality care, including representing the core values of the agency. Therapists will follow all ethical and moral guidelines, and maintain documentation as necessary, including effective aftercare/discharge planning, referrals (if necessary) and consulting with outside professionals.

N/A DUTIES OF THE POSITION
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Clinical Assessments Utilize motivational interviewing skills in eliciting information from clients to complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment culminating in an interpretive summary. Utilize the criteria of ASAM to ensure placement at the appropriate level of care. Utilize the criteria of the

to ensure an accurate diagnosis. 2)
Treatment Planning:
Initiate treatment upon admission. Master treatment plan within 7 days. Prepare integrated treatment plans for clients with co-occurring disorders 3)
Documentation:
Utilize evidence-based practices supported by process notes in client records Ongoing assessment of client's level of care, appropriately documenting changes in electronic health record. Maintain client's charts including but not limited to timely submission of concurrent reviews. 4)
Clinic Communications:
Manages telephonic and email communications, addresses patient inquiries, and relays messages to the appropriate personnel. 5) Clinical counseling-
Group and Individual:
Provide individual counseling sessions weekly Provide group and family counseling sessions. Provide crisis interventions services to stabilize clients and enhance treatment Ensure new clients are oriented to the treatment facility processes Practice specific competencies for persons with substance use disorder Demonstrate the ability to effectively establish rapport with clinical population Administer outcome tools and to inform care 6) Attend Clinical meetings: Contribute helpful and clinically driven information in the Multi-disciplinary meeting
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Ability to understand, speak, read, write in English. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence in English. Effectively communicate/speak before groups of customers or employees. Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed). Ability to carry/lift boxes weighing between 10 and 25 pounds. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs regularly as part of daily job duties. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Ensure credentials are maintained and up to date Practice specific competencies for persons diagnosed with substance use disorders
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
College or University High School diploma
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Current license and ability to practice:
CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC, III, LSW, LPC, LMFT, LICDC, LISW, LPCC PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Advanced knowledge of the basic principles, philosophies, practices, and procedures involved at Armada Recovery. Advanced knowledge of individual and group behaviors and the effective ways of working with people to transition to on-going recovery Knowledge of tools to establish rapport with clients establishing a therapeutic alliance Understanding Cultural Competence and how to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds, as evident by demonstrating the ability to work with diverse groups. Significant knowledge of ASAM and the
DSM V- TR
Significant knowledge and experience in running groups, seminars, meetings and/or specialized therapeutic groups and activities. Basic knowledge of the practice domains for SUD counselors
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize workload. Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of private health or treatment information
