Permanent Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) - Full Time- Up to $95,000/YR!

Job Description

Full-time Certified Athletic Trainer position located in June Lake, California. The role supports orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants in a clinic while providing athletic training, injury prevention, and rehabilitation services to local high school, ski, and snowboard teams. The trainer will also develop emergency action plans, deliver concussion education, and facilitate safe return-to-activity programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants with patient care in a physician clinic setting. Greet and room patients, obtain vitals and medical histories, and document patient information. Carry out physician and PA treatment recommendations and provide patient education. Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures. Coordinate care with surgery schedulers, authorization teams, physical therapy, and other healthcare departments. Fabricate, adjust, and remove orthopedic devices and apply mobilization and immobilization devices. Assist with traction, casting, splinting, wound dressings, and suture removal. Provide athletic training coverage and injury prevention support for local high school, ski, and snowboard teams. Develop and implement emergency action plans and provide concussion education to coaching staff. Assist with strength and conditioning and safe return-to-activity programs. Communicate effectively with physicians, coaches, athletes, parents, and athletic directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Current NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer credential required. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree preferred. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification preferred. Orthopedic Technician program completion preferred. AT residency or fellowship training preferred. At least one year of full-time experience in a hospital, orthopedic clinic, or medical office preferred. Strong skills in athletic taping, durable medical equipment fitting, casting, splinting, and orthopedic patient care.
