As an Athletic Trainer supporting our customer, you will be trusted to provide training support. The Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive injury mitigation, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to support mission readiness, performance, and longevity. The ATC functions as an integral member of the Human Performance team and serves as a subject-matter expert in sports medicine, injury mitigation, athlete preparation, and return‑to‑duty pathways. The role includes direct care delivery, training support, equipment preparation, and coordination between rehabilitation and strength & conditioning services.
HOW AN ATHLETIC TRAINER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Function across the spectrum of the POTFF program under the supervision of a Physician, Physician Assistant, or Physical Therapist, by providing and facilitating injury mitigation, (mitigation, examination, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions) Athletic Trainers are the Bridge Coordinator, responsible for bridging clients between rehab and strength and conditioning services until the client has no medical restrictions and can participate in strength and conditioning services without limitations. Provide human performance services within the ATC's scope of practice as defined by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers. Design and fabricate protective pads, equipment, and braces to help prevent and treat injuries, including the use of taping techniques within the ATC's scope of practice. Provide instruction and guidance within the ATC's scope of practice. Serve as an advisor to the POTFF or Physical domain Manager and/or Coordinator in matters related to injury mitigation, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and bridging.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree (Master's or Clinical Doctorate degree preferred) in Athletic Training, state license, and shall be NATABOC certified. Minimum of five (5) years or more of demonstrable accumulated experience as an ATC with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Collegiate Division I, Olympic, professional sports, USAF Comprehensive Readiness for Aircrew Flying Training (CRAFT), USAF Special Warfare Training Wing (SWTW), and/or SOF Operators in the accompanying, respective settings.
CLEARANCE
Secret or Top-Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
