This immediate hire position involves delivering comprehensive athlete care, injury prevention, and emergency response services to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing acute injuries, facilitating recovery, and collaborating with coaching staff and healthcare professionals to promote optimal athletic performance. 3:30pm to 7:30pm 9/17
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site athletic training services during the sporting event, including injury assessment and immediate treatment of musculoskeletal injuries Implement injury prevention protocols tailored to the specific sport and athlete needs Administer first aid and CPR as necessary, ensuring prompt and effective emergency care Conduct physiological assessments and monitor athlete condition throughout the event Maintain detailed documentation of injuries, treatments, and athlete progress using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Collaborate with team physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans Educate athletes on body mechanics, nutrition, hydration, and injury prevention strategies Support athlete rehabilitation efforts through sports rehabilitation therapy techniques Communicate effectively with athletes regarding their health status while maintaining patient confidentiality Assist in post-event evaluations to identify potential risks and improve future injury prevention measures
Requirements:
Certification as a Licensed or Certified Athletic Trainer from an accredited organization Proven experience working with athletes in a sports medicine or athletic training setting Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to sports injuries Proficiency in first aid, basic life support (BLS), and emergency care procedures Familiarity with sports rehabilitation therapy techniques and injury treatment protocols Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and coaching staff Experience using EMR/EHR systems for accurate record-keeping Knowledge of body mechanics, anatomy knowledge, and injury prevention strategies Excellent communication skills for client education and team coordination Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to athlete safety and performance at a dynamic sporting event.
