Job Description

Pope John Paul II High School is looking for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a part time position approximately 15 hours per week, 600 hours a school year. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist Head Athletic Trainer in all duties related to operation of the Athletic Training Room (ATR). Other duties include but are not limited to: Practice and game coverage. Pre practice and game taping/wrapping or rehab. Maintain accurate records related to athletic injuries and treatments. Administer first-aid as needed. Communicate with coaches, parents or guardians, and Head Athletic Trainer about student athlete injuries. Evaluation and referral of athletic injuries as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program. Current NATABOC certification. PA State Licensure. Current CPR/AED and first aid certifications.
