Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate
  • Audiologist
  • to conduct
  • Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Medical Disability Examinations (MDEs)
  • as an independent contractor. This position offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting Veterans throughout the disability evaluation process.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for Veterans in accordance with VBA examination guidelines.
+ Perform hearing assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, speech recognition testing, and tinnitus evaluations. + Assess and document the severity and functional impact of hearing-related conditions. + Complete accurate, objective, and timely medical reports using standardized VBA documentation systems. + Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a Veteran-centered approach throughout the examination process. + Provide independent medical findings for disability determinations; no treatment, prescribing, or follow-up care is required.
  • Qualifications
  • + Doctor of Audiology (Au.
D.) or Master's Degree in Audiology from an accredited program. + Active, unrestricted Audiology license in the state where services are provided. + Excellent clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills. + Experience with VA, VBA, Compensation & Pension (C&P), or disability evaluations is preferred but not required. + Ability to perform and interpret diagnostic audiological testing in compliance with established protocols. + Commitment to delivering respectful, professional, and unbiased evaluations for Veterans.
