Job Description
Children's National is seeking two motivated, detail oriented Pediatric Audiology Externs for a comprehensive 12 month clinical externship. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, the AuD extern will gain extensive hands on experience in diagnostic evaluation, electrophysiology, and advance amplification/ implantable technology across a diverse pediatric population from neonates to young adults. Under the direct supervision of a licensed, ASHA certified pediatric audiologist, the extern will develop advanced clinical decision making skills in a dynamic pediatric hospital setting. Externs will gain experience in all aspects of pediatric audiology diagnostics and treatment to include vestibular evaluations, cochlear implant team, natural sleep and sedated Auditory Brainstem Response, cortical electrophysiology, etc. Externs will also participate in LEND multidisciplinary training program.
