Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact assisting students with auditory processing needs by stepping into a unique contract opportunity as an audiologist in the Elgin, IL area. This specialized onsite position focuses on conducting an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) in collaboration with a dedicated nursing professional. You'll leverage your expertise for a single, focused evaluation—perfect for those who enjoy variety and flexibility in their clinical practice.
Key Qualifications:
Active Illinois Audiologist License is required. Demonstrated experience with school-aged populations and familiarity with educational settings. Proficiency in auditory processing assessments and the ability to generate comprehensive, actionable evaluation reports. Collaborative approach; comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills for interfacing with staff and supporting team-based care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough auditory processing evaluations for an IEE as required by the school. Collaborate closely with a nurse and other school personnel, ensuring all testing and safety protocols are followed. Synthesize findings into a detailed report, offering clear recommendations tailored to the student's educational needs. Participate in any debrief or follow-up meetings as requested by the educational team. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in accordance with school policies and relevant state laws. This flexible position offers a single, onsite assignment with a flat fee provided upon successful completion.
