TITLE:

Clinical Audiologist

DEPARTMENT

SCHEDULE

3 days/24 hours a week

HOURLY RATE

$60/ hour

General Statement of Duties:

The Speech-Language-Hearing Center is seeking a qualified and dedicated audiologist to join our clinical team. The clinical audiologist provides diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services to patients across the lifespan and supervises students in a university based clinic.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations, including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance testing and otoacoustic emissions 2. Provide hearing aid evaluations, fittings, programming and follow-up care 3. Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss, treatment options and communication strategies 4. Coordinate maintenance of all evaluation and screening equipment and technology 5. Supervise and mentor Worcester State University students 6. Ensure all clinical services adhere to ethical, legal and professional standards (e.g., HIPAA compliance) 7. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation 8. Assist in coordinating clinic services, scheduling and patient care workflows 9. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support clinical education and program goals 10. Lead Audiology Committee Meetings 11. Participate in outreach activities or community education events, as needed 12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

1. Doctor of Audiology (Au.

D.) degree from an accredited program 2. Current licensure or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 3. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) 4. Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in audiology 5. Experience with diagnostic testing and hearing aid dispensing 6. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills 7. Commitment to student education and evidence-based clinical practice?

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience supervising or mentoring students 2. Interest in participating in program development, outreach and interprofessional collaboration
