Seeking strong audiology candidates interested in a combination of hospital-based and private practice settings providing care in dynamic environments to a diverse patient population. We see patients from birth through geriatrics for diagnostics and amplification services. Comprehensive vestibular/balance evaluations are provided for young children through geriatrics. Cochlear implants services are provided for infants through geriatrics. //www.hackensackaudiology.com/ Our centers are located on the Hackensack University Medical Center Campus in Hackensack, NJ. Time spent will be equally divided between a private practice setting with a strong emphasis on hearing aid fitting, care and management for children and adults and a hospital setting with a heavily based outpatient pediatric population and adult cochlear implant and vestibular population. Our facility has 6 test diagnostic test suites for behavioral assessments, a vestibular lab, additional test rooms to provide additional services including: ABR evaluations and cochlear implant mappings. Audiology residents will have comprehensive exposure to: Diagnostic Expertise - You will master VRA, CPA, and threshold ABR evaluations using state-of-the-art equipment. Our diagnostic ABR program is extensive and we have 5 state of the art ABR machines and use the latest protocols and metrics to assure that the most accurate and reliable data is collected. ASSR assessment is also available for additional diagnostic information. Our hospital has a level 4 NICU and we provide newborn hearing screenings for over 5,000 infants annually (NICU and well baby nursery) and our department provides follow-up care for infants who do not pass initial screenings. Hearing Loss Management and Hearing Aids - our Audiologists work closely with a large population of children and adults with hearing loss (for typical children and those with developmental delays), including those requiring ototoxic monitoring, auditory processing assessments, and ongoing care. Cochlear Implants - Participate in candidacy evaluations,implantation, activation, and long-term mapping for both pediatric and adult patients. Vestibular Assessments - Develop proficiency in advanced vestibular testing, including VNG, rotational chair, ECochG, oVEMP, and cVEMP assessments. With strong mentorship and a structured progression toward independence, residents graduate confident and skilled in providing exceptional pediatric audiology care.
