Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an educational Audiologist serving children and adolescents in a dynamic school setting near Plano, TX. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting student success and communication through expert auditory care and assessment.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program Current state licensure as an Audiologist (or eligibility in Texas) Professional experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Proficiency in conducting comprehensive auditory evaluations and interpreting test results Strong communication skills for consulting with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage a flexible caseload and adapt to the unique needs of school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct hearing screenings, diagnostic tests, and central auditory processing assessments for students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs) related to auditory needs Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and administrative staff to create optimal listening environments Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and FM/DM system usage Educate school staff and families about hearing health, devices, and auditory processing disorders Maintain accurate documentation, timely reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations
