Audiologist Job Responsibilities:
Completes full diagnostic hearing assessments using the appropriate testing method and equipment for the patient type, diagnosis, and reason for referral.
Formulates and/or implements a treatment plan to address deficits and patient/family areas of concern.
Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.
Demonstrates advanced communication skills necessary for effective problem-solving, and conflict resolution and facilitates group interactions to achieve desired outcomes as evidenced by team feedback and observation.
Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in patient evaluation treatment and documentation.
Collaborates with the patient and/or family whenever possible to set treatment priorities and select activities that maximize participation in the treatment process as evidenced by feedback and observation.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD) or prior to January 1, 2008 a Master's in Audiology from an accredited institution

Certification:
Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A)
License:
Virginia Audiology License from the
Virginia Department of Health Professions, Board of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of audiologist experience, including pediatrics experience
