Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors in the client's school and home setting. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Use behavioral management techniques to encourage cooperation and skill acquisition in a compassionate manner. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical records securely. Support the development of individualized care plans by documenting observations, progress notes, and medical documentation accurately. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions in various settings. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA). RBT Certification required Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Proficiency in data collection methods and maintaining detailed medical records. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and patient care. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies aligned with special education practices. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
