Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a vital behavioral support role at a dynamic educational complex in the Vero Beach area, working directly with K-12 students across two closely situated campuses. This contract opportunity is perfect for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who thrives on making a daily impact in a school environment and values collaborative, student-focused work. The assignment runs through the end of the academic year, providing meaningful continuity to both students and staff. You'll be the primary BCBA at one main campus, but may also assist nearby in urgent situations, ensuring every student receives the behavioral guidance and encouragement they need to succeed. Expect a diverse, engaging caseload with opportunities to support students of all ages.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
National Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required Recent, relevant experience serving school-age children in K-12 settings is strongly preferred Familiarity with conducting functional behavioral assessments and developing behavior intervention plans Background in collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to implement effective behavioral strategies Ability to meet credentialing requirements, including fingerprint clearance and district contractor photo badge
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior plans for students K-12 Facilitate collaboration with teachers, counselors, and administrators to promote positive behavioral outcomes Provide training and guidance for school staff on best practices in behavioral intervention Respond to urgent behavioral needs as required across both campuses Maintain thorough documentation aligned with district policies and ethical standards
