Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your dedication will help clients develop essential skills, improve their quality of life, and foster independence. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, to support their independence. Use positive reinforcement strategies to motivate clients and encourage desired behaviors in various settings. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure consistency in intervention delivery and maintain accurate medical documentation. Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding clients' medical records and personal information. Participate in ongoing training sessions on behavior management, medical terminology, and care plans to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in a compassionate manner. Excellent data collection skills to accurately track client progress and support treatment planning. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance is advantageous. Up to $30.00 per hour
