Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene to promote independence and self-care skills Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment plans Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy protocols under supervision, supporting clients with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions Support behavior management strategies by applying positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation methods Communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistency in care plans and progress updates Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Participate in ongoing training on professional ethics, behavioral health practices, and the latest ABA techniques to enhance service quality Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially in home-based or school settings is highly preferred Knowledge of special education principles, behavior management strategies, and applied behavior analysis techniques Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans effectively Strong data collection skills with attention to detail for tracking behavioral progress Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus Demonstrated professionalism in adhering to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts Excellent communication skills to engage clients and collaborate with families and team members effectively Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
