Job Description

Eastern Aroostook RSU 39 is currently accepting applications for the following position:
Education Technician III Immediate Opening Location:
Caribou High School Caribou High School is seeking a patient, dedicated, and student-centered Ed Tech III to support students in a self-contained special education program serving grades 8-12. This program supports students who require significant assistance with social-emotional learning (SEL) and executive functioning skills in order to access their education successfully.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Providing direct support to students receiving special education services in a self-contained setting Assisting with implementation of individualized instruction aligned with IEPs Supporting development of social-emotional skills, self-regulation, and coping strategies Reinforcing executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, and goal setting Assisting with transitions and inclusion opportunities in general education settings Implementing behavior support plans and maintaining a structured, supportive environment Collecting data on student progress and performance Collaborating with teachers, counselors, administrators, and related service providers Participating in team meetings and professional development
Qualifications:
Minimum of 90 college credit hours and Maine DOE authorization as an Ed Tech III (or eligibility) Experience supporting students with SEL and/or behavioral needs preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and flexible Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Educational Technicians are a vital part of our team, and we value the important role they play in supporting student success.

$24.15 - $27.68 per hour
