This is a high-level Behavior Tech position that requires additional education and experience to assist individuals with maladaptive behaviors.

10:00 pm (14hrs shift) Job description: The Behavior Technician will support individuals we serve in residential settings.
Skilled in implementing behavior support plans, promoting emotional regulation and daily living skills, and maintaining a safe, positive support environment. Strong ability to build positive relationships, de-escalate challenging behaviors, document progress accurately, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support Individual's goals and overall well-being.
Job duties:
Provide crisis prevention/intervention services to the individuals served. Monitor the individual(s) supported for symptoms of decline, crisis, medication side effects, and to intervene when necessary. Incorporate the CSSP and CSSP Addendum into daily interaction with the individuals served. Assist the individuals served with problem solving. Maintain complete and professional documentation. Participate in scheduled and spontaneous recreational events, medical appointments, family events, psychiatric appointments, and other activities of the person's choice. Maintain clear, open, and honest communication with program management.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a valid Driver's License Must be willing to complete a Human Services background check and Motor Vehicle Record search Must have previous experience and additional Education with mental health for at least 3 years. Behavioral health is Preferred Knowledge and understanding of Positive Support Strategies and effective de-escalation techniques
Required Experience/ Education:
No degree
min. 6 years' experience with positive behavioral supports or, Associates
min. 5 years' experience with positive behavioral supports or, BA
min. 4 years' experience with positive behavioral supports MA
min.
3 years' experience with positive behavioral support
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to assist residents with mobility, transfers, lifting, and personal care tasks. Position requires prolonged standing, walking, repetitive movement, manual dexterity, and the ability to respond to emergencies. Must be adaptable to varying care environments while ensuring resident safety and support. You must be able to perform all physical skills required by Enriched Living Positive Supports Training. This includes the ability to perform and emergency use of manual restraint , both standing and in the supine position.
