Job Description

The Service Worker works with families of children enrolled in Early Head Start and the Head Start programs to strengthen parent/child relationships, expand the family's resources, and to create a more positive experience for the child in the classroom setting and at home The Service Worker plays a key role on the inter-disciplinary team by providing Early Years Educational programming and services to families and educational staff that are responsive to the diversity of the populations we serve.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Social Work or a related field 2-3 years of experience in the educational field Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills as well as good customer service skills. Valid Driver's License and continuous automobile insurance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Use appropriate assessment instruments and data to develop and implement teaching programs that reflect behavioral and other outcomes and objectives identified in the Individual Family Support Plan (IFSP) or the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Ensure the implementation of treatment plans, document contacts, and observations. Use professional knowledge and independent judgment to strategize continuous improvements. Provide training and supervision through observations, meetings, performance coaching, and other methods. Establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for clients receiving behavioral interventions. Maintain appropriate documentation and prepare and complete reports as required. Communicate expectations of behavior or instructional plans developed by the school staff or Local Educational agencies to families and help in maintaining those same expectations in the home setting. Participate in professional growth activities such as conferences, classes, team meetings, and program visitations.
