Carry On Therapy is looking for a School-Based BCBA to join our growing team and provide behavioral support within a school setting. This is an onsite, Monday-Friday position during school hours designed for a BCBA who enjoys collaborating with educators and wants to have a direct impact not only on students, but also on the teachers and paraprofessionals supporting them every day. This role offers the opportunity to bring your BCBA expertise into the classroom through hands-on mentorship, modeling, consultation, and collaboration. Rather than simply providing recommendations, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside school staff, model strategies, observe implementation, provide feedback, and help develop practical supports that fit naturally into the school day. What You'll Do As the School-Based BCBA, you will: Provide onsite behavioral consultation and support within the school environment Build collaborative relationships with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and related service providers Provide direct mentorship, coaching, and modeling to teachers and paraprofessionals Model evidence-based behavioral strategies within the classroom Observe students in their natural educational environment Conduct behavioral assessments and analyze relevant data Develop, implement, and modify individualized behavior support plans Train and coach school staff on evidence-based ABA strategies Support staff with reinforcement, prompting, antecedent strategies, skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and generalization Provide in-the-moment feedback and problem-solving Help staff understand the function and purpose of behavior and respond effectively Review data and make data-based clinical decisions Collaborate with school teams to support student engagement, independence, communication, and participation Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration when appropriate Communicate with families and other professionals as appropriate Maintain appropriate clinical documentation A Role Focused on Mentorship & Collaboration One of the unique aspects of this position is the opportunity to develop the people who support students every day. Teachers and paraprofessionals have an incredible amount of influence on a student's success. Our goal is to partner with them—not simply provide recommendations from the sidelines. You will have the opportunity to: Observe Model Coach Practice Provide Feedback Problem-Solve Whether you're demonstrating a prompting strategy, helping a teacher identify antecedents, troubleshooting a challenging behavior, or celebrating a staff member who successfully implemented a new strategy, you'll be an active part of the process. We're Looking For a BCBA Who... Holds an active BCBA certification Meets applicable state licensure requirements Has experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities Has experience or a strong interest in educational settings Enjoys collaborating with teachers and paraprofessionals Enjoys teaching and mentoring adults Is comfortable modeling interventions and providing constructive feedback Can translate ABA principles into practical strategies for the classroom Has strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills Communicates effectively with multidisciplinary teams Values collaboration and relationship-building Is compassionate, humble, dependable, and professional Is committed to ethical, evidence-based, and individualized clinical practice Our Approach At Carry On Therapy, we believe high-quality behavioral services begin with strong relationships.
We value:
Student dignity and autonomy Assent-based and neurodiversity-affirming practices Collaboration over hierarchy Compassion and humility Family and school partnership Evidence-based clinical decision-making Meaningful, individualized outcomes Developing and supporting the people who provide care We believe teachers and paraprofessionals should feel supported, respected, and confident in their ability to help their students. And we believe BCBAs should have the opportunity to use their clinical expertise in ways that create meaningful change for both students and the teams supporting them. Schedule Monday-Friday During school hours Onsite school-based position This role follows the school-day schedule and provides a consistent weekday schedule. No evening or weekend hours required. Why Carry On Therapy? Carry On Therapy provides a variety of ABA services, and we're excited to expand our team with BCBAs who are passionate about different areas of clinical practice. This position is a great opportunity for a BCBA who specifically enjoys school-based collaboration, adult mentorship, and being hands-on in the educational environment. If you enjoy walking into a classroom, observing what's happening, collaborating with the team, and helping everyone leave with a better understanding of how to support the student— we'd love to hear from you. Apply Today Join Carry On Therapy and help us build stronger outcomes by partnering with the people who support students every day.
