Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful opportunity as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supporting students and staff through a maternity leave coverage starting this November and extending through March. This contract role offers full-time hours and the chance to make a genuine impact in a supportive, collaborative school environment near Dumont, NJ. As a BCBA in this setting, you'll design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans, collaborate with educators and families, and lead training for school personnel—making your skills and insights central to student success.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Current BCBA certification with registration in good standing Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for behavior data Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple caseloads Commitment to ethical practice and continued professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct functional behavior assessments and create positive intervention strategies Train and mentor staff in evidence-based interventions and data collection Monitor progress, adjust support plans, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate closely with families and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by the school and department Step into this full-time assignment and help ensure continuity of care and support for students during this important timeframe.
