Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. As an RBT, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to promote positive growth and skill development. Duties Deliver direct behavioral therapy sessions tailored to each client's individualized care plan, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management. Collect and analyze behavioral data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks. Implement ABA therapy protocols consistently, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and best practices outlined by the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Communicate regularly with clients' families, caregivers, teachers, and other team members to ensure cohesive support strategies. Support clients with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, and other disabilities by applying specialized behavior management techniques in various settings such as homes or schools. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred, especially in home-based or school environments. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods is essential. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards. Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and support clients' daily routines effectively. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement. Commitment to ethical practice in line with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care. Flexibility to adapt to different client needs across various settings; previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus.
