$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Join Our Team! New York Therapy Placement Services (NYTPS) is actively seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support students in school districts throughout Nassau and Suffolk County . This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while working in a collaborative and supportive educational environment. Position Overview As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) , you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavioral support services to students within a school setting. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve behavioral, social, and academic success while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by the supervising BCBA Provide one-on-one and/or small group behavioral support to students Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data Support students' academic, social, and behavioral growth throughout the school day Utilize proactive, evidence-based strategies to address challenging behaviors Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers Promote student independence, engagement, and inclusion within the school environment Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to BACB ethical standards Qualifications Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification in good standing with the BACB Experience working with children, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder and/or developmental disabilities, preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations Reliable, dependable, and able to commit to a consistent school-based schedule Passion for helping students reach their full potential Benefits Competitive hourly rates: $30-$35 per hour (1099) School-based schedule with work-life balance Supportive administrative team Ongoing supervision and mentorship from experienced BCBAs Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement Consistent and steady work opportunities Apply Today!
