Job Description

  • Job Summary:
  • This position is for after school hours.
This is a part time position. Experience with children with autism is a must for this position. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care and therapy to children and individuals with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health and a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a positive impact on the lives of our clients.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor behavioral therapy plans, including ABA techniques, to address specific behavioral challenges.
  • Collect and record data on client behavior, progress, and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Develop and adapt behavioral interventions based on client needs and progress.
  • Work with clients in various settings, including schools and home environments.
  • Implement strategies to promote social, emotional, and behavioral growth and development.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
  • Experience:
  • Experience working with children and individuals with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, or other developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Experience in behavioral health, special education, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to collect and analyze data, including observational and behavioral data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as behavioral science, special education, or psychology.
  • Skills:
  • Patient assessment and behavioral intervention skills.
  • Experience with medical records and data collection.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and ABA techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience working with children, including those with special needs.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with behavioral health software and electronic medical records systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Experience in a behavioral health or special education setting.
  • Special education certification or licensure preferred
