Amergis Keyword Location Search view all jobs Behavioral Consultants Throop, PA Posted yesterday Apply Now This role provides direct consultation, coaching, and problem-solving support to teachers, related service providers, and classroom staff to ensure the consistent implementation of evidence based behavioral practices. The Behavior Consultant is responsible for developing individualized behavior plans, monitoring student progress, guiding data driven decision making, and ensuring all behavioral supports align with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). In addition, this position plays a critical role in promoting a positive, safe, and structured learning environment by collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing behavioral data, and supporting the development of student-centered interventions.
Minimum Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related human services field. Minimum of two years of ABA service delivery, including experience conducting FBAs and developing PBSPs and conducting staff training. Minimum of two years working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or emotional or behavioral disorders.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Must possess the ability to perform nonviolent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection and guidance of potentially physically aggressive students during crisis situations. Must possess the ability to react quickly and be sufficiently mobile to redirect students that could be injurious to themselves or others, i.e., stop a child from running out of a building, physically redirect a child with severe behaviors, etc. Must be able to physically assist with evacuating students during emergency situations.
