Job Summary The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in providing direct support and intervention to individuals with behavioral challenges, particularly children and those with developmental disabilities. Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized treatment plans, collects data on client progress, and assists in creating a supportive environment that fosters learning and growth. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals. Assist in the development of care plans tailored to individual needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support clients in various settings, including home, school, or community environments. Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure consistency in care. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills. Provide support for daily living activities as needed. Skills Knowledge of special education practices and principles. Proficient in data collection techniques relevant to behavioral health. Familiarity with medical documentation processes and terminology. Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of client information. Ability to create and follow detailed care plans effectively. Competence in managing medical records accurately. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members. A background in behavioral health is highly desirable.
