Behavior Technicians work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)® to teach meaningful, lasting skills to children and teenagers with a variety of needs. //youtu.be/0HZg_7SbEkM?si=FYI1A-68oropj21W Responsibilities Provide behavior-analytic services in a home-based setting Establish rapport quickly with clients and their families Teach functional skills such as problem-solving and self-calming strategies Use preventative strategies to reduce likelihood of challenging behavior Respond to challenging behavior as indicated on a behavior plan Record data related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction Communicate barriers, progress, and suggestions to designated BCBA® Incorporate feedback and training during sessions Write a brief summary of each shift worked Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Reliable attendance Ability to respond to challenging behavior, including aggression, after training Ability to pass a background check Reliable transportation Preferred Requirements Bachelor's degree related to human services (completed or in progress) Interest in a career in human services Experience providing Naturalistic/Incidental Teaching Familiarity with behavior-analytic principles Training New hires will receive extensive training prior to working with clients Training will begin as soon as possible Ongoing training will be provided during sessions for a minimum of two hours per week
Wage:
$18-$22/hour (depending on experience)
