In this role, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, support skill development, and assist clients with daily activities in a compassionate and structured environment. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and skill acquisition. Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene, supporting their independence. Support educational and therapeutic sessions by teaching communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate with supervisors, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in behavioral health strategies and client progress. Foster a safe, respectful environment that encourages growth while managing challenging behaviors through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques. Qualifications Experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), special education principles, and behavior management strategies. Ability to assist clients with ADLs and support their overall well-being through patient care techniques. Strong data collection skills to track behavioral progress accurately. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance. Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental challenges. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications such as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification are highly valued.
